Privacy Policy — Document Scanner
What the app does
Document Scanner digitizes paper documents with on-device edge detection, perspective correction, filters and PDF/JPEG export. It does not create accounts and does not sync your scans to a backend operated by us.
Data we process
- App interactions — analytics events such as screen views, feature use, export format and page counts. Scanned image content and file names are never sent in analytics parameters.
- Device or other IDs — advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob when ads are shown.
- Crash diagnostics — Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash stack traces and basic device/app info after consent, to improve stability. Scanned document content is not included.
- Internet access — used for ads, consent messaging, analytics, and crash reporting. Scanning and export work offline.
Scanned pages and exports are stored only on your device.
Permissions
INTERNET— ads and consent.CAMERA— optional manual page capture via CameraX. The ML Kit Document Scanner UI does not require this permission for its own flow.

- Google AdMob / User Messaging Platform (ads and consent)
- Google Play Billing (optional remove-ads purchase)
- Google Play services ML Kit Document Scanner (on-device scan UI; models may download via Play services)
- Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (measurement and crash reporting after consent)
